Let users buy crypto with a card, directly inside your app

Today, Privy is expanding our onramps so your users can buy crypto with a card from anywhere in the world.
For many onchain applications, getting users funded is the first hurdle to adoption.
Privy’s onramps are optimized for conversion, so your users can easily fund their wallets with the payment method of their choice.
Privy now uses Stripe Crypto Onramp to help users in the US and EU get funded, with Stripe handling KYC, compliance, and payment processing. Beyond those regions, Privy's global onramp aggregator supports more than 100 additional countries.
Users can create and fund a wallet in the same session, without leaving your app or switching to another service. A handful of early partners are already using the embedded Stripe Crypto Onramp in production.
Most people already have a debit card or bank account, but they don't necessarily have the crypto needed to interact onchain. Asking your users to leave your product, create an exchange account, buy crypto, and transfer it into a wallet introduces friction before they've experienced any value.
You can enable fiat onramps directly from the Privy dashboard. Install the @stripe/crypto package, and call useFiatOnramp with the ‘fund’ flow. From there you’re good to go.
Stripe handles payment processing, identity verification via Link, and delivery of crypto into your user’s wallet. Users complete the entire flow in-app, and funds land directly in their embedded wallet.
Outside the US and EU, Privy automatically routes users through its global onramp network, selecting the best available provider for that region. You need only run one integration, Privy manages provider selection and regional coverage behind the scenes.
Privy uses Stripe Crypto Onramp for users in the US and EU, and automatically routes users in more than 100 other countries through its global onramp network. Both paths share the same integration and deliver funds to the same destination.
Payment methods: credit, debit, Apple Pay, Google Pay, ACH (US only)
Destination asset: USDC, USDT, USDB, Phantom Cash, and more
Destination chains: Base, Solana, Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Tempo
Stripe optimizes for low KYC to ensure optimal conversion
Multiple providers selected automatically by region
Broader asset and chain coverage
Same integration and wallet destination
Regardless of provider, purchased assets are delivered directly to the user's embedded wallet, or to any destination address your application specifies, including deposit addresses for settlement workflows.
Creating a wallet is only part of onboarding. Users still need assets before they can do anything onchain.
Every additional step between signing up and funding a wallet increases drop-off. Leaving your app, creating an exchange account, or transferring funds from another wallet all add friction before users experience your product.
Privy now brings authentication, wallet creation, and funding together in a single integration. In the US and Europe, Stripe handles payment processing and compliance, making it possible for users to create and fund a wallet in one continuous flow.
Global fiat onramps are available today for all Privy customers.
