Move money between bank accounts and Privy wallets

Create fiat deposit accounts for wallets, convert incoming funds to stablecoins, and pay out to bank accounts through Privy APIs

Building with stablecoins requires more than creating a wallet. Money needs to move into it, out of it, and between fiat and stablecoins.

Until now, doing that with Privy meant adding another vendor integration, compliance workflow, and system to reconcile.

Now, you can manage more of that flow through Privy. Verify users and businesses, provision fiat deposit accounts for wallets, convert incoming funds to stablecoins, and pay out from wallets to bank accounts through the same APIs you use to create and manage wallets.

Under the hood, Bridge provides the regulated conversion and settlement infrastructure. Privy brings that orchestration into the same developer surface as your wallets.

Verification belongs to the person, not the wallet

Every Privy wallet now has an entity, the user or organization it belongs to. Verification is scoped to that entity, so someone verifies once regardless of how many wallets they hold, and fiat flows stay blocked until verification is complete.

Run KYC for individuals and KYB for businesses via hosted flows. A single API call returns a URL for an identity verification page you can share with users. Privy handles acceptance and sends webhooks on status changes, letting you gate products precisely.

Your app only ever references the Privy user or organization ID. You never have to handle the provider's customer records, virtual accounts, or payout addresses.

Moving money in and out

Deposits work by provisioning a virtual bank account for a wallet, powered by Bridge. Users can transfer fiat funds to this account, and Bridge automatically converts them to their chosen asset and delivers the funds to the wallet. The account is reusable, with no memo or reference code to get wrong.

Payouts run in reverse. Register a bank account as a payout destination, trigger a payout from a wallet, and Bridge manages conversion and settlement. Supported launch rails include US ACH/wire, UK Faster Payments, SEPA in Europe, and Brazil PIX.

Privy provides the wallet infrastructure and unified API layer. Bridge provides the regulated conversion, virtual account, and settlement services underneath, subject to eligibility and applicable terms.

Builders onboard with Bridge once, register their API key in the Privy dashboard, and build on Privy from there.

What you can build

With deposits and payouts built into the same integration as wallets, you can build financial products that move seamlessly between fiat and stablecoins. Some common use cases include:

  • Dollar access: let users fund a stablecoin balance directly from a bank account.

  • Global payouts: pay contractors, sellers, or employees from a wallet balance directly into their bank accounts.

  • Remittances: move money across borders without requiring users to leave your product.

  • Treasury movement: fund wallets from a bank account and settle funds back out on your own schedule.

If you're building something that needs to move money in or out of a wallet, we'd love to hear from you.
