Earlier in September, Privy crossed an exciting milestone: over 20 million users onboarded to crypto rails across hundreds of production apps! With over 2,000 developers building on Privy’s APIs, we’re continually impressed by the diverse range of products we serve—from financial tools to games and social apps.

Today, we’re thrilled to share an evolved brand that reflects our core purpose: crafting secure, flexible libraries to let developers build products their users deserve.

Why now?

At Privy, we work to strip cryptosystems and interfaces to their constituent parts to give developers easy access to powerful tooling to power their apps at scale. As we’ve seen usage of Privy evolve, we wanted our visual identity to reflect what Privy is. In stripping down our logo and brand, we reflect Privy’s position in your stack, helping you build: secure, simple, delightful experiences.

About our new look

Blobby grows up

Blobby (as we refer to our logo and mascot internally) represents all the forms a user’s identity can take on the web, and the ways in which users should control what they share about themselves to the developers who serve them. Our logo’s evolution maintains the blob motif, but we’ve simplified and abstracted it to create a clean and recognizable mark.

When stacked into grids, the blobs create a sense of network effects and openness. When animated, these blobs shift, expand, and transform—illustrating how simple building blocks are the foundation for rich user experiences.

A tool for your craft

In addition to a refined logo, we’ve expanded our color palette and illustration style. Contrasting hues represent the diversity of ideas and the range of worlds our customers are shaping. Illustrations that nod to organic elements signal balance between the digital and the tangible. This visual language showcases the limitless potential of onchain ecosystems. If the new logo represents our bare metal API, the rest of the visual identity reflects the unique and powerful experiences our customers build with it.

For developers who care about their users

When we last evolved our brand two years ago, we wrote, “Privy is only as good as its APIs are useful. We are here to build simple, powerful developer tools to help you manage user data safely and put users back in control of their data on the web.” That statement is just as true today as it was then.

We’re building for developers who care about their users. By refining Privy’s brand to a simpler core, we create more space for our customers' brands to shine.
